Joining the Chattanooga Boys Choir for the 2018-19 season is Luke Goins, a fifth grader from Prospect Elementary. Luke has performed in the Prospect choir, Ovation, for two years and participated in the 2018 Bradley County Honor Choir. When asked about how he feels about being in CBC, he responded "I consider it a great honor and I can't wait to get started".
Luke will attend Lake Forest Middle School next year where he hopes to perform with Rhapsody Show Choir.
Students from Michigan Avenue Elementary School recently visited Walker Valley High School to share performances with the WVHS Percussion Ensemble. Walker Valley students performed five selections and spoke about the importance of music in their lives. Michigan Avenue students performed a "body percussion" piece which was composed by the members of the ensemble.
Bradley Central High School was one of the 19 schools from Chattanooga and surrounding areas participating in the 2018 Chattanooga Youth Gallery. Formerly known as the P2P Youth Gallery, the two-day event promotes youth development in the arts. This year, in addition to the juried art show, the Youth Gallery also featured a workshop hosted by the Association for Visual Arts (AVA) as well as a Youth Gallery banquet. Bradley Central High School sophomore Alla Dralyuk had one of her artworks selected for inclusion in the juried gallery exhibition held on March 23, 2018 at the Church on Main Street. Her artwork was subsequently purchased by Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union to hang in their new corporate offices in Chattanooga, TN.
