Walker Valley High School had a wonderful showing at the Tennessee State Music Conference last week. Five choir students and three band students performed with various All-State performing ensembles. Two students performed on the Tennessee Bandmasters Association Honors Recital and band director Alan Hunt co-presented a session open to all attending music educators.
On Monday, April 16th, members of the Walker Valley High School Band traveled to Michigan Avenue to perform for the entire student body. The school hosted a pre-TCAP pep rally to pump the students up the upcoming tests. The pep rally featured the band playing several songs while Michigan Avenue students danced, played games and threw whip cream pies at select teachers! Below is a picture of the WVHS Pep Band.
